2 pennies

New member
Drove down to my sister in laws house to visit my new grand niece and did a little detecting in her front yard. A yard that between her husband and I, has been hit hard. Today in about an hour I found 2 pennies. A 1964 memorial and a 1952 wheat cent. This is only my second wheat cent and I am stoked about it. The Pioneer 505 did a great job at sniffing these out and it was an enjoyable experience. Hopefully I will get to go to a park or the local fair ground tomorrow and see what I can find. Take care and Happy hunting.

Nice going on the wheat cent ! May not seem like much to some but you
better find them while you can because when they are gone they are gone.
Not like the clad that is continually being lost and found. Although I don't
use the 505 I sure have heard a lot of good things about it. Best of luck
finding some more wheaties !

Hello, Cappie! Bigsquid55 here! Nice goin' on yer thrill hype! It's always KOOL! Don't know where U live, but if U have an older town 'round U, not 2 far away, go there & find an old sidewalk!!!! Swing on the street side! 2 er 3 blocks! it'll be alright! You'd be surprized! I live i an antique town here in SW IOWA, & them old sidewalks prove some amazing results! And, if yer like me, you'll meet a friend er 2!! Anyhoo, HH & Good Luck!

Around where I live, that strip is maintained by the adjacent property owners and I am fearful that they would not want me digging in "their" grass.

How do you deal with that issue?

Mark

Well, it's a matter of logistics, I guess...... Where I'm at, is an old, old town... w/ old, old folks. I'm 55 yrs old, & about the youngest one here! LOL! But, play yer cards right... look respectable, act upstanding, stay on the street side of the sidewalk you'll still get inquisition.... that's when you introduce yerself & visit for a while. Discribe & explain yer machine, say yer lookin'for trinkets of the town (have a handfull of dirty clad in yer pocket to show 'em), they'll think it's kool & leave ya 2 yer business.... least they do me, anyway. Unless yer in a pro '70's neighborhood.... then ya need to really watch where ya go. This town I live live in is 150 yrs old. & the folks that live here are about that, too! LOL. Anyhoo, I've made a lot of friends doing our hobbie! They're getting now to where they want me to knock on their door & show them the trinkets I've found! They love it!. .... Depends on your Local & where you look. Hope you got the Jist of this JUZZZZ Depends... Especially ... ON YOU!!! Have a Good o0ne!! HH Bigsquid55
