2 PC CARBON FIBRE SHAFT

Hi all,
I’ve decided to spring for a 2 pc carbon fiber shaft. I see the detect ed is out of stock. CKG out of Holywood, Fl. has a set for a few bucks less. Anyone here know if it is comparable to the Detec Ed. Ty

If you are not to set on Detect Ed shafts, I'd take a look at Steve's Carbon fiber shafts. The link is on the accessories forum by the top of the page.

DW-BGW -- THANK YOU, for recommending.

Beach Bandit -- I'd be happy to set you up with a 2-piece shaft, if you would like. Each of my shafts are hand-made, can be customized to your needs, and are of very high quality. I think you'd be pleased...

Thanks!

I got a Steve's 2 piece carbon fiber shaft for working the surf with a 15" coil on my Nox 800. [I use 15" for the coverage.] Really like the feel of the shaft as the stock shaft had too much play for me in the surf where I average 5-10 hrs/wk.

I picked up a 3 piece shaft from Steve for travel, packed in my suit case just fine. Steve helped me and i'm sure he will help with your needs Carl

DetectED - gotta go wiv da best.

I bought a Steves over the winter.

I'm now a believer.

By dumb luck, I found out if I rotate the top shaft a few degrees inward that my Carple Tunnel and elbow ache goes away and I can swing longer.

Plus, iirc, weighing bare ML shaft to bare Steves shaft the difference was exactly 100 grams in favor of Steves being lighter not to mention the stiffness improving swing mechanics.

Trailduster --

THANK YOU for the very kind words! And, I find that fascinating, what you said about "rotating the top shaft a few degrees inward," and how it relieved your carpal tunnel and elbow aching." I ALSO rotate my upper shaft (and thus control box) slightly "inward" or "toward my body," by a few degrees, as I feel it helps me to see the screen just a bit better. But when I think about it relative to what you stated, I can certainly see how that could be the case. By rotating the upper shaft slightly "inward," relative to the lower rod/coil, you are changing the angle of your wrist, and thus slightly changing which muscles are being used, to what degree...and it makes complete sense to me that that little change could bring relief. THANK YOU for posting that little detail/tidbit, and it's something I will suggest to future customers, as something that might help to make things more comfortable.

THANKS!

Steve

I made a graphite shaft and drilled the control box holes about 2-3 degree's off center. Dumb luck, feels better then then the factory shaft.
