Sure feels good to get this monkey off my back. It was about 9 inches down in the freshly moistened ground, thanks to yesterday's day-long rain.
HH, Steve in PA

Nice one Steve .. congrats !!

Contests...Guess what..I have never found a Franklin half either.. Barbers, liberties , but no Franklins... So I'm still waiting for mine... Nice find...

Nice! Tough coin to find. I found only one Franklin half and probably 10 Walking Liberty & Barber halves. Way to go & HH.

As of today I'm at a six walkers to one franklin ratio and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found this many silver halves in four and a half years of detecting. I consider the 90% Kennedy half to be a true bonus because it was only minted that one year.

Thank you all for the kind comments.

you are so right about that B2H, congrats on the Franklin, one rarely sees the '64 Kennedy dug. I've found 2 Franklins in 2 years, both found in different fairgrounds.

[size=large]after reading all the replys i feel special in that i've only been mding two years and already found my one and only franklin half. i'd love to find any others like the wl & sl and any barber coins. been following your posts and you are quite fortunate to be in the east. still seems to be lots of chances to fulfill your lists.you're doing good compared to a lot of others. love the avitar you have. congrats on your find.
