Go up to the insert above and go to the Detector Pro Forum .
You,ll get info there or someone will fill you in.

Do you have the white, round 11 inch open coil or the black, spider 8 inch coil ? Does the cable nut going into the head phone colored black all the way ( meaning it is hard wired in) or is there a chrome, metal nut on the cable where you can un hook it to use either coil ?

I think both PI models use the black head phones, and I know the model with interchangable coils is rated at 100 feet.

The 11 inch coil goes deep, and you have to sweep very slow. Its harder to pin point than the 8 inch coil.

Use energizer batteries...copper tops do not work well on the PI.

The HH PI with energizers will get about 8 hours of continuous use.

If you have the model with the 11 inch coil and it can be unhooked to use the 8 inch, I would seriously consider getting the 8 inch coil ( although they are pricey). The 8 inch may have a slight depth disadvantage, but its more sensitive to small objects and pin points a hell of a lot easier.

i have the white 11" , with hard-wired headphones ..
do you possibly know if these headphones are prone to leaking?
and i wondered what model is it: a gray ghost, or pirate, or whatever?..
just curious..
lastly, just how slow is very slow: i'm guessing a foot of sweep every 10 seconds?
just duckie!!! i just bought an 8 pack of coppertops from costco..
i'll switch right away, thanks .. : )
