two more trips back to lake...got in a mid week hunt with poor results..couldn't get my detector or head set up quite right,however yesterday was much better... the 10k stud I actually got at 6 inches deep which really surprised me...found 1/3 of a gold chain link , wished I could have found the rest.... the 2 gold hoop type earings were both mangled apparently from someones failed attempt to recover them in the past... happy hunting all...[attachment 302750 phpQSZz6AAM.jpg][attachment 302751 phpqgIqKmAM.jpg]

BH if there is that much small stuff there where the heck is the bigger stuff...maybe it has sunk deeper?

thanks OBN, the big stuff is gone for the most part and its basically just this tiny stuff that many dont have the ability or patience to chase. .. there are probably a few decent sized targets left but layer upon layer of bobby pins ,hoop earings and the like do a great job of masking the better targets..

Excellent finds and small gold & silver are better than no gold & silver. You really have to slow down to find those small targets. HH.
