Thursday I pick up my GTI 2500 from the Post Office...
I sent her in to get it tuned to a new black spider 9.5" Imaging Coil...
Hope she comes back like new...I am kinda missing her.
You never know how much you like a machine until she is out of your hands for a while...lol

can you explain the tune bit? i got a 12 or so year old GTI with me now, it has the black and the older white coil along with 2 other sized coils.
I been using the black coil on it and had no dramas, why does it need to be sent in to use a black coil?

Just tweaking the pots on the boards to bring the unit back to factory specs...unfortunately, I think mine came back to me in worse condition than when I sent it in...I was NOT impressed, but I am not going to send it back unless Garrett will reimburse me for my shipping costs...I traded my old white 9.5 coil for a new black spider 9.5...I liked the old coil better for some reason...I think I should have left well enough alone...I will probably be selling my whole 2500 package and going back to the AT Pro, or waiting on the new machine to come out.
I heard there is a new guy doing the repairs at Garrett, and I am not sure how good he is...
