2 indians from a well worked field

I hit a well worked site today with my Tesoro compadre and these were the only recognizable targets. I have worked this site pretty hard in the past. First find was this awesome 1863 fatty lol. Probably worst Indian EVER!!! At least I can see the date thank God it wasn't a 1877!! Two minutes later I got the 1865 in much more respectable shape. Still a fun hunt and weather was nice.

Nice finds Looks like someone was doing some target practice on it Too bad!

why would someone use that nice coin as a washer? but the 65 is nice you have a very nice spot there, again i am awed by this old stuff

Hail to the mighty Compadre.

It looks like the one indian got shot off his horse but the other one could'nt escape because he was captured by the Compadre! Nice saves.

Awesome finds. What was the site like? Old home, park, etc.?

Great find! The old Indian Heads have evaded me all summer.

it was a bean field, old homesite was there on 1886 map, been there many times with the etrac, site has given up shield nickel, 3 other indians and 1838 seated dime. But iron was so intense I thought I had the site about worked out. With etrac I dug everything above iron, no idea how there targets still survived the etracs coil lol
