Been out 2 times in the last 10 days...Today was a beautiful day on the Gulf, clear, flat, and pretty much empty of tourist after the holiday weekend....Tried my luck Sunday at 4:30AM with the 705 on the beach. All i got was $3.55 in 2 hours...saw 4 other MDers......Went into the water at sunup with the DF.....$0.46...OucH!!! Was also using the 8" stealth for the first time...think I should have gotten the new 720,not used to this straight shaft...was a little sore Monday from the difference in use...
I hunted a beach today that is mainly homes and time shares no big hotels...I did manage to find a silver ring with I think,Hebrew writing around it,A cremation tag which i tossed back, knife, couple hoops, hair thing, and $1.12 in change....Hitting the water at sunup tomorrow with great expectations..HH GL

Thanks for the info GH,I saw the JA and hallmark before, but could not find anything about it..... it's not just the silver Tiffany rings that bring a price beyond the weight value....kinda makes up for the 'tomorrow" hunt that was anything but fun.It went from the calm wind free day before to a steady SE wind in the face all the way down the beach.I got to my turn around point and the arm cuff breaks, not wanting to walk back and not hunt i was able to use my belt to lash the remaining half of the cuff to my arm...worked great, problem solved,on with the hunt...Then a Jelly-fish got me,i had seen a couple here and there, never a problem...but this one got caught up in coil wire and the belt on my arm and got me good...All that extra effort and pain got a few coins...GL

Sounds like a tough one Bob. I never hunt uncovered out there and never have an issue with jellyfish stings or sea lice either. This sport ain't for sissys and it ain't easy $ either as the newbs would imagine. At least you got out there, I had to go to a REAL job, LOL!
