[/img] Hit the machine gun pit lots of tabs and other junk. Was waiting to hit this with the 6 inch coil that i don't have yet. So i put in 8 hours in 2 days and came away with these using the pizza plate its going to take some time to get the machine gun noise out of my head. Anyway that's a corroded zinc penny in the picture came in at 12.31 all by it self wonder how many years before it's totally gone. Got one silver ring 1926 merc 1900 1901 1909 barber dimes 1906 nickel 1887 Indian and all the wheat's are in there teens one token and a watchyoucallit Coins average 6 inches nothing deep going to wait for the 6 inch coil before going back.Thankx

You had a couple of VERY nice days.

Wally everyone knows where it is nobody hunts it anymore all the coins are deep or mixed in with the trash. I even wrote it off but if you spend a lot of time at a spot you will begin to see how things are most coins here are at 6 inches or less. There are spots here i don't even think the 6 inch coil will handle will have to see how it works . Thankx

I could put up with the machine gun noise with finds like that. congrats.

Randy

I love that analogy - machine gun pits - I've been hitting the same types of spots with the CTX and finding oldies that have been missed (some less than an inch deep). I LOVE IRON

Nice job fishing those beauties out!

Doc i have about 11 hunts at this fairground with the ctx . I hunted it with ex2 with a 5 inch coil yet with the ctx i have found 3 Indians here that were barely 4 inches deep makes you wonder what the ctx is doing compared to th ex2 these coins had nothing by them either.I also had one at 3 inches that was a1867 that i was going to pass on being a zincet.

WTG congrats
