2 hours in Wood's Field

Went back to my local Village Ball Fields that I have pounded for the last 6 years...I am amazed at what the AT Pro finds that my other detectors left behind...
Hunted for 2 hours and got $2.28 in clad...Oldest coins were 1966 and 1967 Quarters and 1968 cent
I got my new 8.5x11 DD coil tonight and have to send my bad one back tomorrow...Will have to test the new one out tomorrow.

HH,

At least the coins are nice and clean. They're using colored wood chips here in a few parks now and the clad comes out orange!

Hope the new coil works great.

Hows your new coil working? Your allways finding a few dollars in change whereever U hunt, so It must be adding up for U

The acids in the wood chips will chow on the zincolns in short order, and turn nickels black or red...The new coil works like a charm, but not sure it was the coil now, as the detector still goes flaky from time to time...I rack it up to the sensitivity of the machine and where I hunt... a lot of power lines, cell towers, and radio antennas...
turning it off for 3 minutes and then resetting the detector usually sorts out the problem... Very few places around me I can hunt with the Sensitivity above 5 bars out of 8
