I saw Papa's post and had to hit my local swimmin' hole. Well, I learned his is better than mine, and Bud Light is still the preferred beer at the hole.

Here are the finds not counting whole cans, steel belted radials, etc....

I was also trying out my new long handled scoop. I have decided the straight shaft on it needs some bend, it is hard to get the scoop to get a bite in the ground without pushing the handle way forward.

Thanks for sharing, like I have said in the past, Misery loves company. I fill your pain, but at least we know where to go on the weekend for a fun time with the drinkers.

you might want to think about making a floating sifter. That will definitely help with recovering targets.

Last year, I hit an old swimming hole, and used my floating sifter. I couldn't really sift stuff out of my scoop, as it was mostly gravel, but in the sifter, the load would spread out, and the smaller stuff would drop through.
