2 hour hunt in the snow this morning yields cold gold and maybe "ice"

After washing Venetian blinds and the kitchen floor, I decided to treat myself to a hunt on the beach.
It began snowing as I left the driveway, but I'm not scared ....got to the beach as the snow began falling heavily...no problem...I love the brisk fresh air , exercise, and snow falling on my face.

The upper beach sand area was frozen solid so I hunted from the slope down to the water's edge at low tide

After about 1 1/2 hours of finding clads and junk, I picked up a nickel sound and hoped to dig up a "Buffalo"..

About 8 " down I recovered what I initially thought was a bolt due to the green coating....but then I saw a golden hue under the green coating , and as I was turning this item around, I saw the 9 "stones'

Later at the car , I was able to see "417" stamping inside the band.

Hank got a belated birthday gift..his B/D was Feb. 1st.

I 'm thinking that this large ring belonged to maybe a Priest or Bishop...it is, in my opinion a unique ring.

The 9 "stones " may signify the nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit...

My diamond tester is being repaired , but when I get it back I will test the "stones" and report back with the results for those who may be interested.

Here are "before " and "after "pics

Thanks for looking
