2 home steads at same location

Got to go to old home stead today,started to lose hope of finding anything through all the weeds & garbage, then I found my first 1929 nickel, oldest I've found yet.
A couple of pics of the house in the woods. Will post some of the finding later.
The Black Bear was just up the way from where the homes are, he was happily grubbing around and my pooch was shaking with excitement, dogs first contact with a bear. Dave
 
Yes, the prairies in Alberta Canada have many such homes, but would need permission first and because some farms are very large, it would take some time to research who the owners are. Looks like your doing well with your old homestead, wish we had as much history of... up here. Dave
 
Dave, what we have in history, you MORE than make up for in gorgeous countryside....Canada is just so beautiful. That bear would have made front page news here and caused such a huge stir, but sounds like its not out of the ordinary for you. Thats something to envy. Looking forward to seeing more pics from your hunts!
