Waterdog and I went hunting at a local park 2/4/14 and 2/5/14 (2 days 1 1/2 each day) and these are my results still no gold yet for FEB 2014. In trashy areas near picnic table this is how I run my AT PRO. Seems to work really well for me. (Run it slowly) I only run it in this mode if I'm coin hunting ( Pro Cust) when I'm hunting open field it's PRO ZERO. (IRON ALL THE WAY UP)
Downside to this is that you bypass all the gold rings range.
51 quarters, 14 nickels, 55 pennies, and 35 dimes total $17.50
couple keys (still haven't the key to the million dollar safe yet)
Junker ring and some trash.

That is a very nice looking haul! I like the variety and amounts of the targets...especially the nickels! You are running that Pro right, thats for sure!:clapping:
Mud

 good haul in that hunt.

I started detecting 7/28/13 so for I found 31 rings...13 gold rings (2 white gold)...9 silver rings 925 and 9 junkers rings

Running the ATPro in the custom mode to select your desired targets is one of the ATPro's many strong points.
Within days of purchasing my ATPro I was called out to find two platinum rings. I notched out everything EXCEPT the range that a matching ring read in. I detected for 40 minutes without a peep from 4 foot snow piles on both sides of the street and the lawn snow covered area. Then my first signal of the search was the engagement ring. Seconds later the second signal was the wedding band. The ATPro is my first notch filtering detector. It has made me a believer especially when looking for one specific object. BTW another machine without notching found a manhole cover, a tin can and a few pieces of other junk. The ATPro was silent over those targets.

I am a bit confused, unless you changed the notches after leaving the picnic table area, that you picked up so many nickles. I am not much of a dirt-digger, I spend 99% of my detecting time in the water, hence WaterWalker.

The ATPro was purchased mainly as my grandson's learning detector for water detecting. Its size and ease of use and features made it the perfect detector for him. Now that I have seen it in action, I "barrow" it from time to time. It has found gold and silver in fresh and salt water and platinum on land.

Keep up the great postings and detecting.

May the ring of gold be in you ears and the glitter in your scoop. You still have lots of time in February to find the heavy metal.

That's a truck load of clad, asiandigger! It sounds like you're rockin' the gold rings, too

Thanks for the positive encouraging comments. When I leave trashy areas ( PRO CUSTOM EVERYTHING NOTCH EXCEPT 80 ON ) I put my machine back in PRO ZERO with nothing notch out and Iron Disc at 35.
