Saturday evening was nice so we packed up and headed off to the lane. Storm the day before moved a lot of sand around......few targets and very deep.

Sunday afternoon we headed to another beach that we have not hunted...low tide and to many rocks!......we left there and headed back to our favorite spot after a stop and one of the best hotdog places in the country.

Hit gold.......no markings but plenty heavy and looks good. Tested out at 22K!! J-man hits a silver cross with his PI

That one beach looks more like a gravel road!!! Beautiful big ring!

I've had the Mizar about 4 months. The fluid that you use with it has to be very fresh or the tester will not work. If you decide to buy one, get an extra bottle of fluid for back-up.

I gotta get one of those gold testers! Very cool. What solution do you use? Potassium Chloride?

J-man, I like the PI nut too. Looks like you guys can run one over there without too much difficulty. Stay with it out deep like that, there's bound to be a reward there for you. Bobbie great shots, the unfriendly pirate is probably POed, because ya'll are finding all his loot! Ya'll really need to figure out how to recover at the rocky beach, I got a feeling that used to have a nice coating of sand on it and it all washed out. There will be some prizes there, if you guys stay on it! I'm sure it's tough, but it may pay big dividends! GH

We both prefer to hunt the water.......much less trash out there. J-man will return to that rocky beach after Labor Day alone. I cannot do rocks because of a previous injury and reconstruction. There were thousands of people at that beach Sunday but they were all up under the trees with hardly anyone in the sand in that area.
