Waterdog and I went out to metal detect today and I lost the bet and had to buy lunch. Normally it's the opposite around, well can't have it all. Waterdog found a gold 925 ring and a 1943 mercury (0ver $10 in clad). I on the other hand found a whole bunch of junks and $20.75 in clad no silver. I know Waterdog is anxious about going back to this school tomorrow..I know it loaded with silvers. I skipped a lot of 82, 83 which are about 6". and a couple of them were 88, 90 around 8 to 10". Anyway the 1st 3 pictures are mine finds and the last 3 pix are Waterdog. Happy hunting guys/gals be safe.

I'd buy lunch everytime, if I could get in a hunt like that on a regular basis. Nice going, congrats Artie

Yeah, no kidding right Artie? and beers! :buds: nice job Asiandigger and Waterdog,! :please: You fellows are a double threat out there!:clapping:

Good haul, guys. Over $30. in clad between you two is a lot of digging, alone. Nice variety of targets. Not sure I could have passed on those 82/83 and 88-90 readings. Know why you did it, but...... Maybe next time leave the shallow targets and go for the silver readings. Sounds like a good spot. HH jim tn

We have been useing the 5x8 coil on our hunts, and I am really amazed on the depth of this little puppy. I dig a lot of targets with a lot of trash burried way down there which takes some time. I took some more pictures of the ring I found and of the silver dime, but need to find a way to post it. An old friend of mine told me once that when you start finding jewerly with your machine you are tuned into that machine. I need to get tuned into Gold now.

You guys were really working it! That clad didn't stand a chance, and I like the Boy Scout slide and Avatar wheels, too. :super: Your friend's ring and Merc are pretty sweet, too! Hope those deep signals pan out on the next hunt.

Forgo the lunch, keep digging...you might have to pay for a bigger meal, but we will have more to look at.

I am so glad I do all my digging in the water, I don't think I could take all the up and down...

Wonderful hunt!

A little competition and good digs out of it. Congrats on both of you's.

Looks like a great time and a little friendly competition is good. Competition or not those deeper coin signals always hook me into digging.
