!2.5 " Deepseeker Question

When using the 12.5 inch coil, it the depth reading accurate? I only used this coil once or twice, and both times I got signals that read 5 inches, but I dug 8 inches and still found nothing.

I am finding it very stressful on my arm and shoulder to use this coil for any extended length of time.

That happens with any coil. Phantom signals are common. And the depth reading is pretty accurate.
