1st two silvers of the year.

Met up with Park Pirate and BRATNY at the usual city park this morning. Finally dug my first silver of the year, an 1892 Barber quarter only about 3 inches deep. Was expecting to see clad so I just popped a clump of dirt without digging my usual nice round plug. Thank God I didn't put my digger across it. Never thought it would be a silver quarter that shallow. A while later I get a decent hit I thought could be silver so I dug an extra large plug and retrieved a 1920 Mercury dime from a solid 9-10 inches deep. Ended the hunt with a mini-pocket spill of two wheat cents and a 1915 Buffalo nickel. Park Pirate ended up with a Barber and mercury dime and BRATNY found an indian head cent. All came in an area no farther than 100 yards away from where I dug the gold coin last weekend.

 I havent found a Barber quarter for some time now,,, Awesome

Great finds Ed, I ended up with another Indian 1866 and a buffalo nickel at the other site. You have to take Tony down there and give it some time there's still some good ones left.
