I haven't been out detecting in almost 2 weeks... Between getting ready to get married, a personal issue and plus tides I haven't really had the want to go...

The beach I have found many rings on is all changed now with the constant easterly winds and rain, where my troughs were are all filled in with feet of soft sand...

I hit a spot with no sand and all shells and gravel and I worked it hard today and came up with a bunch of coins including a 44 merc and a mess of bullets and then the 2 rings, 1 junk with the pink stone, the other one has a few small diamonds in it and its 14k diamonds tested real. Also found the silver earrings and the assorted junk... Where I detect in the water there is usually little trash IE: bottle caps or pulltabs and virtually no iron which is great news for a PI user.

The spot I found 90% of my finds was about a 30 foot in diameter circle in chest deep water next to a mushroom anchor, I coiled the anchor chain on top of the anchor and proceeded to have hits every 6 inches or so... My guess others skipped this area because of the anchor and chain. Their loss is my gain :)

Third ring was an eyeball find on the sand on the way into water.

Brilliant Idea :nerd: to clear the anchor chain out of the way. One man's lemons are another man's lemonade.
Kewl finds 2.:super:

I just posted on the board I am a co-admin on my fiance can't stand my hobby :) That's ok.. I tell her I could be going to a bars every night instead and she wishes me well when I go detect :) I took her once last August I hit 3 gold rings inside an hour and she wanted to go home so I took her home and next day I went to that spot it was all sanded in lol... I take my sister now and then and she likes it.. she does the dry sand with her BF and I stick to the water.. Worst part of today it was pouring rain, up here in New England area we have had enough rain to last the summer.
