I haven't been out detecting in almost 2 weeks... Between getting ready to get married, a personal issue and plus tides I haven't really had the want to go...
The beach I have found many rings on is all changed now with the constant easterly winds and rain, where my troughs were are all filled in with feet of soft sand...
I hit a spot with no sand and all shells and gravel and I worked it hard today and came up with a bunch of coins including a 44 merc and a mess of bullets and then the 2 rings, 1 junk with the pink stone, the other one has a few small diamonds in it and its 14k diamonds tested real. Also found the silver earrings and the assorted junk... Where I detect in the water there is usually little trash IE: bottle caps or pulltabs and virtually no iron which is great news for a PI user.
The spot I found 90% of my finds was about a 30 foot in diameter circle in chest deep water next to a mushroom anchor, I coiled the anchor chain on top of the anchor and proceeded to have hits every 6 inches or so... My guess others skipped this area because of the anchor and chain. Their loss is my gain
Third ring was an eyeball find on the sand on the way into water.
