I have seen some comments about first texas service and they were usually pretty favorable. I finally had first hand experience and my opinion of the company went way up! I bought a second hand Pioneer 505 on e-bay a little over a year ago and have used the living daylights out of it. ( 5000 coins plus ) a couple of months ago it started acting up after it had been on for about 30 min, false signals, misleading id's etc. Sent it in for a check up ( it also had a loose coil on the end of the lower shaft, broken roll pin ) Talked to Hector Martinez on the phone and told me to send the lower shaft and coil too. It was gone about ten days ( thought I was going to explode from withdrawals! ) Got a phone call as soon as they received it. ( 12.00 for postage and insurance to ship it to them ) They said it needed a circuit repair, would cost $68.00. I authorized the work and I received it back today. They replaced the entire circuit board and the control panel face and threw in a new lower control rod and new coil! Said it should work like a new one. Price included shipping it back! All this on a used detector with no warranty!! When I upgrade detectors it will defiantly be a first Texas product! Thank you Hector and Staff for your awesome service! Ed in colo.
