1st summer at the beach with the MXT

slapshot

New member
Now that summer is over I figured I would post my finds from hunting the beaches here in Cape Cod.
I have read over and over again that the MXT is not a good wet sand machine. I tend to disagree on that statement.
I found that once I understood what the machine was telling me, and adjusted for it, that it worked pretty darn well.

Total take for the summer....$135.65 in clad, 2 sliver chains,20 rings 9 which are silver. Two pairs of earrings.
Not bad for a machine that supposedly is not any good in wet salt water sand.

Happy Hunting all!

I kept the MXT (actually, my wife kept it - she intimated that there would be serious domestic repercussions if I got rid of it.) and I bought a DFX. We hunt the beaches here in Daytona. The MXT is one fine machine. I'm still learning the DFX.
