Went to an old farm house today and found a couple wheats, clad and to my suprise I pulled out my very first silver half 1950 Ben Franklin. I also found 3 mercs, 7 wheats ,IH's ,Buffs, and my first V nickel there last weekend. Sorry bad pic quality

Big congrats on the Franky! My first and only half was a 1949 Franklin about 2 months ago.

Nice hunt!! Sounds like your pouch runneth over!

Almost didn't dig it. It was a faint tone and the VDI numbers was bouncy(78 to 90). It ended up being about 10 inches deep. The only reason I did dig it was because of being a deep target with that touch of a high tone, so I thought it might be something good. Glad I did:clapping:

Congrats that must have been a thrill....... I still and will ALWAYS remember my FIRST half find o0ver 30 years ago..!!!! good luck!

Congrats on the big and small silver. Bet you'll remember that hunt for awhile.

Great find! Thanks for posting the thing about the bouncy TID's. I haven't always dug the deep ones that bounce around that much because they're usually deep pop cans! You have helped adjust my strategy.
