we got a two day warmup, all the snow melted so I was able to get out saturday with Nooberz....we knocked doors at old farm houses, first dig of the day was a 1909 indian, got a few wheats, then got the 1905 barber dime. I am on the board for silver for 2013 now. Got a couple more wheats and the old knife. I was more than happy to start the year out like this. Awesome day at almost 60 degrees in January, in the 40's today and gonna be in 30's all week.

congrats on the great finds.

Hey that's not fair, I'm not able to go out MDing, lol, but I'm am damn glad that was able to get out and find a few nice coins, WTG Terry

Great finds and great start for new year, looks like you will top last year at this rate ! I hope to follow your example. I am looking forward to trying your TTF program settings.

A great way to start the year - congrats !

It seems to be the year of the Barber so far...Everyone is hitting them...
Great finds and I think with the flash freeze, and now the thaw, the ground got churned up a bit.

HH,

Great finds! Love those Barbers and Indians. Finding old pocket knives is a favorite of mine,
even if they're a rusty mess. Happy hunting!

Gee Whiz, Terry! Pace yourself man! :poke: Thanks for the pictures. I'd like to unearth an 09 IH sometime.

The Indian chase is on again! I hope you are able to beat your 2012 count this year.

Nice silver too. I really like Barber dimes, but they aren't really common where I live.

I probably could have had a dime trifecta Saturday (Barber, Merc, Roosy), but brought my hunting partner into the yard where I was so he could find some silver (I had two to his none at the time) and he found the Barber about twenty feet away from where I found my Roosy.

I really look forward to your posts and can't wait to see what you come up with this year!

Looks like you got a good start on silver and Indians for 2013 congrats

Sweet! Great job. Can't wait to get out, but the ground is way too frozen here in IA. Probably five or six more weeks - then watch out!

Nice going!! I can not wait to get out. Ground is too dang frozen here in central IL to do any hunting this week. Maybe next weekend??
Good luck the rest of the year buddy!

Believe it or not, some knife collectors will pay for good bolsters and handles. Wait till you find a few old Case knives with either "Red Bone" or " Green Bone" handles in good shape.......nge
