1st Merc

I found my 1st merc today a 1941 s I ended up seeing it in the hole and still managed to hit it with my lesche... I didnt dint it up too bad just a little scratch. I dont know why I didnt just take it out lol... I think I was excited I am still in my first year of detecting so when I see silver it gets me going this is my 2nd silver coin of the year and 2nd silver coin ever found.

It was my first time at this park and it was the first and only target I dug. 30 minute hunt after work I plan on going back tomorrow and all day Saturday.

I have been to a park in Goose Creek twice in the past week. Dug two sterling rings and a bunch of clad. Got wheaties from 40, 50, and 55 and clad from 65 on up but no silver coins to be found so far. Congratulations on that Merc. I am still looking for my first Merc. I've found a barber quarter and a barber dime and one silver washington quarter but no mercs. Good luck.

I have not dug in Goose Creek yet. Mostly around west ashley, james and johns island, I try to stay as close to down town as possible for the real good coins and relics.

Nice merc. next you will be pulling out a silver quarter. good luck and HH
