Found 2nd gold ring in 2 weeks. This was my first hunt with my New NEl Tornado on my Elrac. This is a 1958 gold Josten 10K gold. Weights 10 grams Not sure what symbel this is. Any ideas?
 
Nice class ring! Any other marking other than the year ? May lead to you ID'ing it better.

There's a good chance that the symbol is part of a seal of a particular school. Check the websites of high schools and colleges in the area and see if any match up.
