Hello ALL!

Well its been in the 50's here in CT for the last 3 days and the ground was in decent shape today for the areas that was getting sun all day so I hit a local closed school that was build in 19teens... I'd been there dozens of times... but continue to find goodies :)

I got home and changed by 4:20... school is 5 minutes awy... sunset is @ 5:30... do I go?? ABSO-FREEKIN-LUTELY! :)

Ground Balance, set Sens to 19... Noice Cancel.... put coin down.... Signal... jumping from 8-24... Dig and out pops a '43P 40% Silver War Nickle...

Within 5 minutes... another jumpy 8-14 signal... I pull out another nickle and can clearly see... and Indian Head... and a DATE 1936 ! :)

I dug another 3 nickles, 1 dime and 10 memorials + 1 Wheaty...

Its going back down to 35 tomorrow and they are calling for snow this weekend :-( I am so so so praying for spring!

Happy that I got out for an hour and fifteen minutes tonight and got 2 keepers...

Happy Hunting!

I hope the rest of your hunts go the same way your started the year. Nice!

Always nice to see those silver nickels and Buffaloes show up. Tells me the last guy there had his discrimination too high. Probably missed some gold rings too! One thing I might recommend would be to set your NC first. Doing so might allow you to get more precise levels with your other settings. HH Randy
