1st hunt after snow - silver

We had a big storm about 8 days ago, I had about 24 inches of snow in my yard and it has finally mostly melted. I went out this morning for about 3 hours (sunny, 55 degrees). Ground is pretty muddy, but I managed my first silver coin of 2014, and a 1903 indian head. The 1916 merc. (no "D") was about six inches deep, but for some reason I wasn't expecting it to be a silver coin. The numbers were all over the place, but it did have a good sound. I don't know, maybe the saturated ground was causing the FE/CO numbers to fluctuate like that.

Merc and a 16 to boot on the first out!!!!! Clean looking too! Congrats and many happy returns Doug!
