Spent about 4 hours hunting a soccer field today. My opinion on how good a detector is, is based on how stable the machine is and how quiet the hunt.
My AT Pro ground balance real easily. I was amazed at how quiet the machine was. I hunted about 1/2 of the soccer field, which is fairly new and very clean. It was the first hunt I have had in years with no falsing. I mean zero falsing. I had the sensitivity set on six. Hunted in the standard mode part of the time and pro mode part of the time. Always zero discrimination and checked all targets with both pro and standard and with iron audio off and iron audio on just to start getting used to the sounds.
I bought the AT Pro for hunting in fresh water lakes because I already have a top of the line detector. Now I think the AT Pro may be my detector of choice for most types of hunting and use my other detectors when I need true all metal depth........Coach C.
