Does your detector have the 100 or 800 coil?

its the 1000 10"

Glad to hear that. Been hearing so much about that coil supposedly being bad that I was a little concerned since I too got that coil with mine. Havn't tried it out yet.

Thanks Bling

Great......Was it an stability problem that you had Bill?
Why do I feel like a guinea pig? lol!

yes. and I feel it was in the coil. fine on land and the minute you hit the water it goes crazy. After three of them I had to give up. Too bad because when they are right they are a great machine.

Although I have been getting feedback that the new beachhunter300 I bought is out performing the ex cal. and going deeper...

I was going to ask if it was just a salt water problem or both salt and fresh water. Then I remembered a post that mentioned the problem while being used in fresh water too. I think It might be in my best interest to break it out of the box and take it to the lake and see what happens. I was going to wait until I moved to Florida to break it out.

I think I would, if it's bad you can return it to the dealer and get another, hang onto it and they will probably make you return it to Minelab...

Awesome job on the ring:thumbup:

EXCELLENT, glad to see you are doing well with it!! You are giving me inspiration!! I head to Destin with mine the 23rd! HH Joe
