First day out with the new machine--Only had an hour and it began to rain. So, not a good measure of what it can and can't do yet, but I will say this:
It isn't really heavy. I even have the triangular stand modification which definitely adds another .5 lb. I had no trouble and did not even notice.
Screen glare is bad. Yes, you really do have a hard time seeing the screen in different angles of light.
Man, that stock coil is huge! But, I had no problems at all pinpointing. The coin or object was dead center where the shaft met the coil. And, the electronic pinpointing absolutely dead-on.
I really did not have a lot of time. I dug 6 targets--3 of them small pieces of metal and 3 coins. I was also at a pounded out schoolyard that dates from the late 40's. I have found silver in the past--though very sparse.
One was a wheat cent (got it soaking to see the date). I will say the area I found the wheat in I had gone over with 2 other machines and they did not find it.
One memorial was about 8-9" down.
So, we shall see. I will give it about 3 months before I give a final determination.
Yet, I do believe it was not signalling alot of the junk I hear crackle through with my other detectors. It seemed quiet and smooth.
