1st Barber!!!!!!

I have been hunting this elementry school that has been there since the 50's. I have not found much but my buddy Lostpoint has found a 43 war nickel and a 1919 merc. We didnt have nothing to do so we agreed to go back and hit it again. He popped out a silver heart charm and a 1945 washington. All of this silver is coming off this corner lot of the school yard and I'm hitting it hard!! Now I'm frustrated and I laid my MXT PRO down and took a break and jokingly told him I quit! After my break I took 2 steps and hit a vdi of 79-81 at 4 inches down and there was my 1st Barber dime. It is a 1916s. Here are todays pics.

Congratulations! Me and my mxt pro are very envious!!!!!

Nice story . . congrats !

Good story. VERY Nice finds. I always say, it doesnt matter if you have the "best" machine out there.... You still gotta swing your coil over it to find it. CCH.

Some of the best finds seem to hit on the way back to the car...

Congrats on your first and many more to come...

And what a beauty she is too. Congrats on your first Barber dime. Nice finds all around. I bet you'll keep that MXT now. ;) HH, Nancy

Oh no no no ! I meant I quit for the day Nancy lol. I'm in love with my MXT Pro! Im not getting rid of it. I was just having a tough week. It's hard when your buddies are finding all the goodies but it paid off. I have detected for years but my best finds have been with the MXT! HH everybody!!

That's music to my ears Texas37. I shouldn't have thought such bad thoughts. Sorry about that. HH, Nancy

when i look at old maps, it seems they build new schools next to or on top of the old ones...you ought to check some old maps, and see what was there...you have a sweet sight to hunt...nice finds
