1st 2 hunts with the XP Deus

I'm now the proud owner of a XP Deus. I am pumped about this machine.. It is super light, easy to set up and go. I love how quickly you can get it set and running. One word really describes a hunt with this machine and that is Clean. No wires, no bulky detector parts. Everything is sleek, the lines are smooth, Nothing about this detector says Detector like all the others. I don't have the words that can really describe it totally. But It is refreshing not to have take 15 minutes to get read or vice versa to get done.. I like how quickly it goes from transport to hunting, so easily..
With that said yesterday was the maiden voyage and I came home with a No Cash Value token, 7 wheats, and a 1923 Mercury dime.
Today wife came home early and gave me about 2 hours of daylight. So I headed back to one of my hidey holes. Pulled 3 more wheats, 3 more silver's a 28 merc, 46 and 48 rosy. A silver ring with two hearts attached. I also found a chevy PS coin. I also found a Durant dog tax tag from 1973. The more I use this machine the more I am impressed. Is it better than the E-Trac? Not sure. But it sure can hold its own. And for sure is going to battle for the top spot on which is going to go coin hunting. I found two dimes at spots 3 different Tracs have hit really hard. :affraid: . So I will let you be the judge. Funny thing the coins weren't super deep just a bunch of rusty nails came out of the hole with them...

That's the strong point of the Deus, it has the brilliant ability to finds non-ferrous things in amongs all the iron and by the way, Lots of very nice finds you found there. Now you have to hit all your old detecting places again with the Deus.:detecting::cheers:

How clearly did the Deus respond id and soundwise to the silver dimes amongs the iron and what settings did you use?

Great finds Evan! We both are pretty hard E-Trac guys! The Deus is holding its own for sure!

The tone on one kinda had shuddered or wavey sound.. but it was repeatable and I dug it.. I could definitely tell there was something there.... the other sounded normal, just had a low blip on one side... I could hit the both dimes from several directions..

yeah I am really shocked that these two were so easily missed...just shocked....

It is nice to see a machine that can compete with the E-trac. I like my E-trac,But in my area every newbee and his brother has one and its getting old!

Thank you for your post. I like that we are starting to see real results from real users. The more of these posts that I see, the sooner I will put in my order for my Deus. Thanks for sharing and Happy Hunting -Marc
