1994 Class Ring

I found my first Gold Ring of the year on Sunday, February 26, 2017 using my Super Sniper Coil attached to my AT Pro. The Target ID was 67 and the sound emitted from the detector was a rapid pulse type sound unlike a sold sound a coin usually makes. I heard a similar sound when my compadre passed over a thin gold chain. Unfortunately, Can-Slaw also produces the same sound. I am currently trying to find the rightful owner. I have called his high school and I am waiting to hear back from them. I have already gotten 4 class rings back to the rightful owners in the past.

Excellent find David!:detecting: Glad you are getting those rings back to those rightful owners. That gives all of us a great reputation.

Unfortunately the owner of this ring may not be reachable because I cannot even tell what state it is from. Plus Jostens, the ring maker ring records only go back to the year of 2000. The person also did not include their whole name on the ring. I have done all I know to do at this point. Now its just a waiting game to see if the school where I thought he attended calls me back and says they have correctly identified the rightful owner. I do not want to mistakenly send the ring to someone who never owned it. There is already way to much dishonesty in the world and nobody deserves a free gold ring.

I have very good news concerning this particular 1994 Class Ring. With the help from other people including Facebook, the rightful owner has been located. I contacted him on Sunday, April 23, 2017, he provided me with his address, and I returned it to him today. When I spoke to the rightful owner, he was really happy to be informed his ring he lost around 2 decades ago would soon be returned to him. CBS WKBTX News Channel 3 from College Station, TX did a feature story on 5 of the Class Rings I have found and successfully returned as well as the Texas A&M Corps Freshman Metal I found on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
