We had a nice day here yesterday so I decided to hit a new park for a while with the M6 and 5.3 coil. It's not even really a park, just a small area in the middle of town with a gazebo maybe 80'x80'. I spent about 4 hours there and dug 199 coins and to many tabs and my legs felt it all day today, anyone who say's this hobby isn't exercise is nuts. I had almost $10.00 in clad along with a buffalo nickel, 2 silver Rosie's, 1 wheatie and 1 Indian. I had several holes with multiple coins too. It was my first Indian and buffalo and the most coins I have found in one day, I was pretty happy. This was my first summer detecting and I haven't counted my clad yet but I have a pretty good pile along with a couple nice silver rings, a shield nickel, a merc, a Morgan dollar along with some interesting trinkets. Usually I'm lucky to find a couple of bucks worth of change but I don't think anyone ever hunted this area before. The other parks in town have signs posted with park rules including "no excavating" so I never went in them but there was no sign here so I figured fair game.
