my silver sabre has died, while i'm not the original owner and it was bought off australian e bay,a few years ago,it has served me well.while operating in a local park,it just stopped.battery change, checked connections, nothing works.had a local detector dealer look at it and he couldn't go any further than a basic internal check up,without the units wiring schematic.so the big question,is, has anybody got one or know where to find one short of,sending it back to tesoro which would prove to be a little to expensive? blowfly,hh,bye for now and merry christmas

He knows the warranty is only for the original owner and does not transfer.

Hi Blowfly, I would suggest you call Rusty Henry at Tesoro and ask his advice. I have no idea what their policy is concerning overseas repairs but from my experience ,and many others,Tesoro will repair, tune, or solve whatever problem you have at no cost, regardless of how many owners the detector has had. Simply put, if it says Tesoro on it , they will take care of the problem, and will ship it back to you free of charge. That will likely not hold true for overseas shipping but Tesoro's Lifetime Warranty is rock solid and they stand by their customers and product. A talk with Rusty would likely smooth things out and let you know exactly what your solution should involve. HH, Charlie

I see no one has responded with a schematic for your SS. That was the question wasn't it?? Here is a link to one but it is most likely not the exact model you have. but close enough for your electronic tech to figure out the problem. The early circuits did not change that much at Tesoro. You may have to poke around a bit at this link to find a drawing that works best for you. You know of course this will void your warranty at Tesoro??
