Found this quarter. last quarter maybe for the year depending on weather and when m detector will come back.
It has been having problems. The lCD screen will go white and flash off and on and make a solid noise. I have
to remove the battery to stop it. It also is shutting off on its own. It has no depth at all. Cannot go beyond 3 to 4 inches.
The whites rep had me to a master reset on it yesturday but it did not fix it or improve depth. Lucky the 1964 was not
too deep. Found it up next to a sidewalk. Good to end the day on. Today is my 25 wedding aniversery. Good to
find silver on our silver wedding day. Got married in my military uniform on Vets day. Always insured day off with wife.

Probably the ribbon connector is loose.

Rob has probably hit the nail on the head. I had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be a bad connection on the ribbon cable !! Good luck and hope your V3i is sorted soon.

Talked to mary today and She wants me to send the V3I and the 10dd. They will check for problem with the DD coil also. I still believe there is something wrong with the
machine as depth goes also. No utems below 4-6 inches at all.

Detector made it home to the factory on 11/14/14. Hope they find the problems with my
detector and return it soon for a few more hunts before the season if over I trust their
knowledge to do my detector right. My wife likes my girlfriend "v3i" away for a week or so.

Sent back 11/18/14 with following work.

Detector fixed with following work:

10" DD Loop tested / Passed Added bolt kit as requested Replaced ribbon cable connectors Reset and calibrated detector Checked functions / Passed Tested and Inspected SHIPPED

See new post for followup question.

Thanks

Been having the same type of issue with my VX3. I was holding out until the season is definitely over which I believe will be this week. Screen is flashing off and on with a solid noise. I also have to remove the battery to stop it. It also shuts off on its own occasionally.

Must of the time all that is required is to reseat the connector ends. Just incase this happens on a trip all will not be lost.

Back from Whites. Seems better. Only taking out to the field will prove anything. I am going to try my 5.3, 6x10 and 10x12sef a try.
Things seem to be operating better.
