1958 Buick Roadmaster Conv.

Caught these pics last Summer. This is one of the Best Buick's I have seen in a long time. I am not really into Cars any more, but thought this one to be special. Roadmasters in 1958 were very rare. The Chrome trim on the rear quarters is what sets them apart from a Buick Special. A Roadmaster Ragtop is even more rare... I have only seen one or two other 58 Roadmasters in 40 years. They were 2 door hardtops. When i was about 18, the Hardtop I had seen, was sitting in a driveway, unused, no plates, flat tires. I had knocked on the door, and was told it wasn't for sale. A year or so later, I found the same car in a junkyard about 3 miles up the street from the place I had asked.

I always thought the 1958 Chevrolet was a classic, but following the 1957 Chevrolet was a tough act to follow. When I was a teenager, everyone wanted the 1957 Chevrolet, and even to this day it is extremely popular. I was never into the Buicks, they were old folks cars. Kelley (Texas) :)

Personally, I prefer seeing these old cars driving around town, rather than at a car show.
