1942 walking liberty half

Using the 6 inch excelerator coil and Minelabs Hi Trash mode.. went out to our local park which has been hunted hard as all the parks have. got an iffy signal reading 43=44 and dug down about 3 inches ,maybe less and got the 1942 half on edge. Don't know if it was the E=Trac or small 6 inch coil. I have the 5 inch sunray coming and want to give it a good try also. Sold on the small coils for hi trash areas.., not to mention being sold on the E-trac...

I think what impressed me more than finding the coin is where I found it. guys use to drive 40-50 miles to hunt this park as it was at one time the fairgrounds. But it ha been hunted hard. I have found 12-15 silver coins with my e-trac here. barber dimes ,mercury dimes ect. But a coin the size of the half . how could it have been missed.. Glad it was.. thanks

Nice find Sonny. About that 'iffy" signal though, can you describe its sound? Was it broken? Was it solid both ways? Did it seem like it was struggling to get past some iron? Thanks

By iffy seemed to be to many other signals in the ground. This place was REAL trashy. Just the hi tone caught my attention as I use Multi tone.

Wow! That half looks like it's in great condition. I found a silver quarter today after work, finally a silver coin with the etrac larger than a dime. The quarter is a walker but is nearly worn flat.
