Went back to the same park and area where I found a V nickle yesterday. Used a Vaquero with stock coil , sens a little in the red , Minimum disc , and threshold set at 1 o'clock. I picked up 2 coins , one a clad quarter and a mercury dime . The dime was almost the length of my Lesche digger and had a very faint sound . It didnt discriminate out until it was thumbed well past tab . I dug up three washers already that sounded similar so I was very surprised and happy with it . Also shown is a pic of everything I dug today .

Filling an empty hole is always good. By the look of your junk pile, you got some of it cleaned out. Have fun... KEN from Ind.

Nice mercury dime, wow, also those railroad spikes could hide something good. At least you are clearing the way to better finds in that spot.

Edit to say: Those rusty flat washers, when they are deep and in moist ground, they sound just like coins, on just about every machine I've used

Those washers did sound good .

I went back this afternoon and all In found was 2 copper Lincolns a Jefferson nickle and this Royal Ambassador shield pin .

so nice to see silver , in the hole, you worked hard for that one . that Vaq is deep when tuned right

"As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best to become a well informed responsible follower of Christ...to have a Christ-like concern for all people...to help others in sharing Christ and to keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body"...this was part of the R A pledge I remember from 70 when I was a member! Hope I didn't offend anyone or violate any rules by stating that? There are many different religions and I respect them all as we all should. The V and the Merc were also good finds:)...good hunting!

Awesome finds with the Vaq! Congrats
