I mentioned previously about a merc I had found. I hit a local park that had alot of traffic in the late 30's early 40's anyways, I pulled this beauty out, minus the little nick I made in it
It was barely a signal, and I usually pass this type up, but for some reason I had hope for this one. I dug a plug about 6" down, and slammed right into a rock, pulled the plug off the top, and removed a rock which was bigger then the plug I had dug out. right below where the rock set was a little silver rim sticking out of the side of the hole. Sure enough out popped this beauty. Not sure how much the nick would ding the value, which doesn't really matter because I never sell my finds, but it's always nice to find something valuable. Hope there is more to be found at this site!
