1923 10 k gold ring / Old Sterling Religious Ring / Barber / Indians

Finds are from part of Saturday and Sunday from old city parks I researched.
10 k gold ring is 1922-1923 (based on letter that precedes 10 k stamping). Gold ring gave me 12/13 ferrous/conduct numbers and was about 6 inches deep.
I thought it was going to be an old nickel so when I saw the ring I knew it was gold.
I got it about 15 feet from a big tree close to where I got the 1906 barber dime (my 2nd 1906 dime of the year).
Old religious ring and other ring are sterling silver.
Indian head pennies are 1876,1889,1894,1902,1903,1904. The 1876 Indian was 10 inches deep and gave me 12/33 ferrous/conduct numbers.
Buffalo nickel is dateless.
The metal dog must be an old pin and was very deep.

I am very impressed with all the indian head pennies. What sensitivity (I assume manual) and pattern are you running to get such great depth? Also, thanks for posting the ferrous/conduct numbers. I have yet to find a gold ring, and your numbers reinforce the idea that gold rings dial up like nickels. Thanks again for the great post and pics. Silver Bullet

Really nice finds there. The Indians look to be in great shape. Way to go on sniffing out the deep ones.

I would also like to know if you are running in Manual or Auto Sensitivity as well as what coil you are using. Those Indians are nice but they are also hard to detect. Another reason I dig Zincs.

Auto Sensitivity +3 / Stock coil / Grey Ghost NDT headphones. Sometimes I briefly start in manual for a couple minutes going as high as I can stand with chatter and then switch back to auto and my machine seems to run just a little hotter than normal in auto sensitivity.

Dave, outstanding results again. You're showing the rest of us what is possible if we get intimate with our machines and put in the effort to research. Good job and keep posting your successes.

what kind of screen pattern are you using? Great finds. I would be going back to that spot and pounding it until it spits out no more coins.

The finds came from multiple sites. I use a straight iron mask pattern (blocking anything 24 ferr and greater) if I open up my screen more than that I get too much
falsing on nails.
