i just got my coin back and this is what i said on the coin

1922 S$1 AU 58 VAM-2C1,Top 100

what doe this mean top 100 and all i can find is VAM-2C but nothing with the VAM-2C1 so whats the 1 for

thanks tony

This should be comparable to yours.....http://www.vamworld.com/1922-P+VAM-2C1 <-------------<<< This one is in the top 50 peace dollars.
And this is the next stage.........http://www.vamworld.com/1922-P+VAM-2C2
The difference seems to be the severity of the die break. VAM-2C2 is a LATE stage where VAM-2C1 is an earlier stage? I know the mints are different but the VAM report should help with comparing. Although, Im pretty sure yours was a P also and not an S.

I cannot get the top 100 list to load, probably not completed yet. But here is the top 50 peace dollars....http://www.vamworld.com/Top+50+Peace+Dollar+VAMs

What is the top 50/100? It is to focus collectors on which Peace Dollar VAMs were worth owning and to create a worthwhile set to acquire. What is noteable are the amazing die breaks in the Peace Dollar series. Collectors have eagerly scooped them up.
