1918/1917 D Buffalo Find ?

I found this a while back and finally got it cleaned up it is a 1918 D Buffalo nickel but looks like it could be a 1918 over 1917 buffalo. Would be nice but not real sure.
 
after seeing the pics u emailed me, I think you need to have it checked out for sure by a reputable dealer, it has a high chance of being the rare 1918/7 variety!
 
Thanks Guys I just thought it was a common buffalo until I cleaned it up and looked closer at it. That just goes to show you never know what you might find!
 
I will let you know it might be a while The closest place that can let me know for sure is an hour and a half a way I hate to waste the gas unless I am up that way. Guess maybe I could use it as an excuse to hunt coins in that area. :)
 
I remembered this post the other day and had to go all the way back to page 11 to find it. I'm curious if you had the nickel checked out. It would be an awesome find if it's the 8 over 7.
