1916 barber dime found in a weird way.....

I got out for a few hours and detected an old yard. At least I hunted the old flower beds which had been scalped for renovation. Mainly a bunch of whatzits and a 1920 wheatie. Then, I got a strong shallow high coin reading and when I looked down saw a coin sticking out of the dirt, kind of half in/half out and straight up and down. I plucked it out with my fingers and saw a nice 1916 barber dime. Their is a ton of iron in these beds. You here multiple iron hits in every swing. Would it be a good idea to dig every iron signal to see if I could unmask some goodies hiding under them??
It's all under snow and frozen now but my hunt on November 25th was a nice late season bonus. Good luck and HH. Bob.

Nice find. Good place to use a small coil.

and didn't find anything else worthwhile. Still heard lots of iron signals. Might try and get in there in the spring and dig all signals to see what I missed. Bob.

Some fellows will hunt in all metal and remove all the hits. Certainly time consuming but coins standing on edge or masked along with oddball finds are sometimes worth the effort...Something to think about over the winter months..
