I found a 1914 D Buffalo nickel in my yard last night. It is the oldest coin found in my yard so far. also found a 1919 wheatie a few feet away from the nickel. my coin book is kinda old, but it lists the 1914 D buffalo in G-4 condition at $ 25.00. The coin is worn pretty good but the date and mintmark are still visible. I'm having trouble posting a picture of the coin but will get a picture up soon as I can.............Roger
Congrats. About three years ago my yard produced one buffalo nickle with the date worn off. Always fun finding older coins and other goodies in your own yard!
