1910 V Nickel

Found my oldest coin since I started detecting. A 1910 V nickel. I live in Oregon. So finding older coins in my area is pretty hard. I was really excited to see this neat little piece of history come up. Really made my day!

that would be a nice find even over here on the east side here in ohio where i live! great find!:clapping:

Why is it "V" nickels always look like $h&t when they come out? I've only found about 15 or so over the last few years and all but 2-3 look like...........well, you know what I'm talk'in about.

Thanks everyone. I know a lot of you find really great stuff all the time. So thanks for taking the time to look at my finds. Im still a beginner for the most part. And I am very new to the Minelab. Though, I have to say I am getting the hang of it faster than I would have thought. Finding this V nickel was the most exciting find for me yet. I have always been fascinated with history. And to be able to go out, and dig it up. Its really an awesome feeling. That nickel, has been in the hands of history itself. The very hands that helped built and grow this country. Coooool stuff.

Damn... another Explorer user in Oregon :surrender: (... just kidding).

Looks just like the V nickel my buddy found last year - more rust then nickel. But that's what you get in soggy Orygun.

Keep on swinging...
