1910 Boy Scout shoe token?

Cool find - Check out the Whatzit forum - There's one listed there titled "Boy Scout Swastika". Here's what I posted:

According to http://www.sageventure.com/coins/misc.html:

Like many other companies, the Excelsior Shoe Company took advantage of the new Boy Scout program by advertizing that they sold the "The Original 'Boy Scout' Shoe for Boys." Included with shoes that were bought from Excelsior was a "Good-Luck Charm Free with each pair of Boy Scout shoes."

The link has pictures of different tokens. Yours may be listed. Check it out!

I'm not sure how long these tokens were made, but I believe they're all dated 1910. Maybe that's when the company was founded?

TN Girl, thanks for the link. I found one these back in the early '70s and didn't know just what it was and according to the site, I found a Type 3.
