1909 VDB wheat and I trashed it !!!

Hey hey fellow treasure hunters, short hunt yesterday got me a 1909 vdb in pretty bad condition. And while digging it I put a big scratch in it as well. But still a first for me, and makes the second first mint year with the 1859 IH I got not long ago. Not even worth a pic sorry lol. HH L8R

Don't worry about it, its only the "S" VDB that is worth real money, the plain ones minted in Philadelphia aren't worth that much especially if they are worn.
 
I know how you feel. My 1897IH is beautiful except for the big gash I inflicted on it with my probe.
 
My question is, will a brass probe scratch a silver coin? I made one and am wondering.
