I'm new to the Blog. I'm from Blackfoot, Idaho and started detecting about one year ago. I found an old ghost town up in the mountains and started detecting it. I have detected it three times. I found a 1936-D buffalo nickel, 1909-S wheat penny, 1941 wheat penny and a 1949-S wheat penny. The 1909-S has fine details but has weathering issues. The gentleman I sent it to said it would prob sell for $20. I am way excited to get back up there and find some mo'. I tried putitng some pictures up but suck big time. I'll keep attempting.

About 4 years ago I sold an 1909 S I found detecting. It wasn't in great shape but, still pretty nice. The coin dealer gave me $45 for it. I would say if you are thinking about selling it...Get another appraisal. However, I'm still kick myself in the butt for having sold it. That's the only coin I have ever sold, and I didn't even need the money. Go figure.
