1907 Masonic Badge Pin And Very Sharp Walker

floodplaindetector

Well-known member
The 1907 North Dakota Masonic Badge Pin was found Wednesday after work at an old local elementary school. It originally had another piece with a sword on it.
It was about 10 inches deep. I also pulled the old thimble and 1927 wheat penny there.
All other finds were made over the weekend when I wasn't doing home improvement projects.
The walker, barber dime, war nickel and some of the wheat pennies were found with my NEL 15 inch attack coil. That coil was a handful to swing with the
heat and humidity. All other finds were made with the stock coil.
The V nickel is 1896.
All finds were from public parks and schools.

Nice work FPD.....!!!!! Walker is a nice one! It's cooled down some here which is nice for a change. I'll be over in Idaho for a few days next week and doing a re-hunt of a private I did over 20yrs ago and also a redo of some public that's had some recent dirt work done...hopefully some finds?

keep em coming..........

Awesome finds! That walker is a beauty!

A very nice bunch of finds - the Walking Half sure is a beauty - congrats !

Outstanding Walker! And the rest too!

How many silver coins have you found so far this year?
Floodplain, are you the only one with a metal detector in your area?

All the public parks and schools here have just about been picked clean.

Approximately 180.
I would have to say no to that.
Only one other person that I know of that hits the road by 5am and puts on at least 400 miles in a day.:)

Great pictues and a great Walker! Way to go. Congratulations to ya!

Awesome! In my opinion, the Walker is the most beautiful coin ever minted. The pin has some deep history behind it. Great score!!

Great finds - it amazes me every time I see somebody dig big silver out of a public place in this day and age. I was on a group hunt last year to a ghost town that's been WELL hunted for a long time. Our first target was an area where an old school (the only school) in town had been and it's no secret that it was there (there is a time capsule on the grounds now although the building is long gone). I walked over a very notable area around a tree and thought I was being smart by going a little away from the school area figuring everybody that ever detected here probably stared right where we were. I came back to the area about 20 minutes later to find that another guy that was with us pulled a walker out of the same spot I had walked over with my detector off on the way to my spot that didn't produce anything.
